CMLS on COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

COVID-19: At this time, all CMLS in-person legal clinics are cancelled. CMLS attorneys are still available for advice over the phone. To speak with an attorney, contact our Intake line to see if you qualify for our services.

Many CMLS clinics require pre-registration. If you are registering to attend a clinic, you will be asked to conduct that meeting over the phone.

We will update this information as changes arise.

Expungement is the process of going to court to ask a judge to seal a court record.
People request an expungement when they have been denied a job, housing, or a
professional license because of a criminal incident that shows up on a background check.

Attend a virtual informational session via Zoom to learn more about the expungement
process and have general questions answered by attorneys.

If you do not have access to technology required to attend a Zoom session, the Anoka
County Law Library will have computers reserved for viewing.

More information will be provided about how to apply for direct legal assistance during
the clinic.

Expungement court forms will be provided to all registrants, or they can be picked
up at the Law Library for free.

Call the Anoka County Law Library at 763-324-5560 to register.
