CMLS on COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

COVID-19: At this time, all CMLS in-person legal clinics are cancelled. CMLS attorneys are still available for advice over the phone. To speak with an attorney, contact our Intake line to see if you qualify for our services.

Many CMLS clinics require pre-registration. If you are registering to attend a clinic, you will be asked to conduct that meeting over the phone.

CMLS partners with the Volunteer Lawyers Network (VLN) and Judicare of Anoka County to provide a total of two attorneys for each eviction calendar. Evictions are heard every Monday and Wednesday. Attorneys are available to meet with and provide advice to low-income clients who meet financial eligibility criteria. Meetings are held in a conference room outside of Courtroom 411. No pre-registration necessary.

Financially eligible veterans who need assistance with civil legal matters can meet individually with an attorney at the St. Cloud VA Hospital. In order to be eligible, the client's household must be at or below 125% of the federal poverty guidelines. Pre-registration is required. To complete a financial screening and register for the clinic, call CMLS at 320-257-4855.
