St. Cloud Area Debt Clinic
Clients are pre-screened for this clinic by Central Minnesota Legal Service's intake. Clients can participate by calling the St. Cloud CMLS front office staff at (320) 253-0138, or 1-800-622-7773. Individuals are often also referred to the local Credit Clinic by other staff members or community advocates.
The typical client for the Credit Clinic is either someone who is employed but on some kind of public benefits, such as Social Security Disability (RSDI), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), MFIP, Medical Assistance, Fuel Assistance, etc., or is someone not employed and solely on public benefits. A client may be working; however, he or she has been on some type of public assistance sometime within the last six months.
