Sherburne County Legal Clinic

Date:
07/18/2012 - 12:00pm - 1:00pm

Central Minnesota Legal Services, in partnership with the Sherburne County Law Library and local attorneys, sponsors a free onsite Legal Advice Clinic at the Sherburne County Government Center. Clinic services are offered on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. Clinic activities are held within Sherburne County Law Library, on the second floor of the Sherburne County Government Center and directly adjacent to County Attorney offices.

Attorneys are available to provide basic legal guidance from 12 noon to 1 pm. Sherburne County residents or those with a pending Sherburne County case or claim are eligible to participate. There is no charge for clinic services, as the program is provided exclusively through the generous volunteer contributions of local area attorneys.

Patrons are received on a first come - first served basis and are asked to bring their court papers, as well as all related Court orders (past and/or present) and related documents. Clinic services are limited to unrepresented persons seeking guidance in matters of family law and related civil legal actions. Individual sessions involve a one-time consultation with an experienced local attorney. No attorney-client relationship, ongoing service arrangement or general representation agreement is established in conjunction with receipt of clinic-based services.

Clinic staff are available to provide general legal and procedural information to participating patrons. Assistance is also available in identifying, locating and completing standard court forms. Children are welcome, though adult supervision is required.
